Music Genres: |
Industrial, Electro, EBM, Synthpop,
Goth |
|
Bio: |
As a wee goth DJ, Cyn began his DJ
career on 91.1 fm's radio show The
Random Noise Generator in 1996, at
the same time he began guest djing
at The Bank (the best goth club
ever). He moved up to a residency in
the back room at The Realm spinning
all manner of eardrum abusing
industrial and electro, first with
DJ Krieg and then with DJ
Mindsolvent on Friday nights when
the basement of The Bank was
re-opened. When The Bank closed he,
like so many others were saddened by
its passing but knew that he must
soldier on. Cyn became one of the
resident DJs for MI-7 and continued
djing at Albion when it moved to
downtime and eventually became one
of the mainfloor DJs along with Rob
Xian and VooDooRu. When Albion
finally closed its doors in March of
last year Cyn once again found
himself wandering the wasteland of
NYC with no club to call his own.
All that changed when in July of
2007 an unholy alliance was formed
with DJ Patrick and
DJ
Templar, both former Albion DJs
themselves, and brought about the
monthly event,
SALVATION.
SALVATION quickly gained momentum as
one of the best Goth/Industrial
parties around and Cyn was once
again wreaking havoc on the dance
floor. Now a biweekly party
being held at Don Hill's on the 2nd
and 4th Saturday of every month;
SALVATION is where you will find Cyn
still whipping the crowd into a
beat-induced frenzy long after
last-call.
