What to expect:The Borden home in Fall River, Massachusetts,
has been a landmark since the murders of Andrew
and Abby Borden on Aug. 4, 1892. Erected in
1845, the Greek Revival house was originally a
two-family residence. Andrew Borden later
converted it to a single-family dwelling. Since
the killings, the house has most often been a
private residence. Today, it serves as a bed and
breakfast and a museum.
What to expect: Not your typical cheesy mini-golf family spot...Mainly decorated like a UV lit haunted house, this place is fun for all the "boils" & "ghouls!" Featured attractions available at this location are mini-golf, and video game arcade!!!
What to expect: Salem's only horror monster museum is a fantastic high quality exhibit of movie monster props and life sized recreations set in a amazing gothic and dark decor that feels like a haunted house tour! Actually...this place is so perfectly Goth, you WILL want to buy a cot and move in immediately! You've been warned!!! Not your typical cheesy wax museum, and definetly not to be missed!

What to expect: "Relive the adventures of Captains Kidd and Blackbeard, who roamed freely offshore plundering merchant ships. Participate in an educational, historically accurate and entertaining, live walking tour with a qualified guide who encourages student participation and questions. The tour starts in our artifacts room with authentic pirate treasures. Then you'll stroll through a colonial seaport, board a pirate ship, and explore an eighty foot cave, where you are sure to encounter some of those 17th century rascals face to face. Join us at the Pirate Museum to learn more about New England's adventurous sea-robbers. Seasonal - May through November."

What to expect: "The Salem Witch Museum examines one of the most enduring and emotional events in American History...the Witch Trials of 1692. The main presentation is based on actual trial documents. Visitors experience the drama of that dark time though thirteen life-size stage sets, figures, lighting and a stirring narration as they are witness to the web of lies and intrigue of the Salem Witch Hunt. In our second exhibit, Witches: Evolving Perceptions, live guides take you through changing interpretations of witches, the truth behind the stereotypes, witchcraft practice today and the frightening phenomenon of witch hunting."
What to expect: There are many, many, MANY haunted, historical, and ghost walking tours in Salem...it's just fact...but there are a select few that really stand out from the rest. One of the best of this select few is helmed by the highly knowledgable and experienced Dr. Vitka. This one and a half hour paranormal tour not only talks about ghosts but also tackles voodoo, tourture, cemeteries, and vampires! What more can you want??? We recommend the nighttime tour...
THE BURYING POINT CEMETERY & SALEM WITCH TRIALS MEMORIAL
What to expect: A small, yet very historic cemetery that has gravestones dating back several centuries. At the North-East coner of the cemetery is a memorial to those who lost their lives during the witch trial of 1692. The Memorial consists of 20 granite benches cantilevered from a low stone wall surrounding an area adjoining the Old Burying Point. The benches are inscribed with the name of the accused and the means and date of execution.
What to expect: This house was the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin (1640 - 1718) and is the only structure standing in Salem with a direct link to the Salem witch trails of 1692. The house is open for tours all year, but keep in mind that they close early from mid-November through mid-March.
What to expect: "The mood is set from the moment you enter the Witch Dungeon Museum. You are there - in Salem Village in 1692, and you are guaranteed a unique educational experience with a chill or two. You'll experience the acclaimed performance of a Witch trial adapted from the 1692 historical transcripts. Professional actresses in repertory reenact the electrifying scene. Welcome to Salem Massachusetts, where in the year 1692 something very unusual took place."
What to expect: "The stories of 1692 are told through a historically accurate live presentation and tour downstairs, where you will walk thru the forest, meet Tituba in Rev. Parris' kitchen, visit Old Salem village and view 15 life size scenes depicting these stories."

What to expect: One of the more prominent mystical bookstores in Salem, you will be pleasantly surprised by their extensive selection. They also sell everything from crystals to tarot cards and more. Also, don’t leave without missing their Gothic room in the back-right corner!
What to expect: Starting in 1993 as a home based fangsmith, selling via the Vampfangs.com website, grew into what would become the world’s largest source for custom fit vampire fangs. Now, Vampfangs has come full circle back in Salem with a new retail location on iconic Essex Street selling far more than just custom made fangs.
What to expect: “A place where friends can gather to play the classics, grab a craft local beer and delicious food. Arcade bars are a proven concept nationally but something that the greater Boston area has been missing.
