Still he spent a life time traveling the globe in search of the inexplicable and the freaky. Established in 1967, The Freakybuttrue Peculiarium is a one-of-a-kind Art gallery begrudgingly devoted to Elwood's blurry vision. Visitors can discover interactive art and installations for all six senses, including novelties, gags, books, original artwork, shirts, stickers, one-of-a-kind oddities, and more, complete with edible insects and the likes. In Conrad Elwood's words, the Peculiarium is an art gallery dedicated to learning and terror."

What to expect: A little ways West from the were The Wildwood Trail and Lower Macleay Trail meet, you will find the ruins of a stone house that was built in the mid 1800's and was finally abandoned in the woods since 1962. After time moss covered the stones and graffitti was painted on its walls. Eventually this became a party space for local High Schoolers on Friday nights and it was those students that named it “the Witch’s Castle.”
The hike to the Witch's Castle is slightly difficult, but there is parking space at the Wildwood Trail off of NW Cornell Road (see map).

What to expect: What started as a small boutique featuring handmade artisan bath and body care products has been reinvented by owner Amy Francoeur into a wonderful alternative fashion boutique filled with an impressive assortment of clothing, accessories, gifts, and more! Be sure to say hello to Rex Manning when you drop by the shop...he'll be the 12 foot tall skeleton keeping an eye on you making sure you behave yourself! Also, remember to ask about their wonderful collection of hand crafted witch hats when you make your visit!

What to expect: "The Coffin Club is a horror-themed venue and nightclub located in Portland, Oregon. Originally opening as The Lovecraft Bar in January 11th, 2011, we pay tribute to the world of the weird, the macabre and horror in music, movies, art, and literature.
