THE BURYING POINT CEMETERY & SALEM WITCH TRIALS MEMORIAL

What to expect: A small, yet very historic cemetery that has gravestones dating back several centuries. At the North-East coner of the cemetery is a memorial to those who lost their lives during the witch trial of 1692. The Memorial consists of 20 granite benches cantilevered from a low stone wall surrounding an area adjoining the Old Burying Point. The benches are inscribed with the name of the accused and the means and date of execution. |

What to expect: This house was the home of Judge Jonathan Corwin (1640 - 1718) and is the only structure standing in Salem with a direct link to the Salem witch trails of 1692. The house is open for tours all year, but keep in mind that they close early from mid-November through mid-March. |
